Virginia Insurance Counseling & Assistance Program (VICAP) is a great resource to help you navigate Medicare.  VICAP is part of a national network of programs that offers free, confidential counseling and assistance for people with Medicare.  VICAP is able to assist with finding the right plan for you, filing for medical benefits, and more.

 Every state has a State Health Insurance Assistance Program also known as SHIP.  SHIP is a federally funded to provide all people who are enrolled in Medicare with free counseling and assistance throughout the year.  This website provides ways to access their services and provides much needed contact information.
