IMG_9099

Battalion Chief Lewis began his Fire & EMS career with the Department of Public Safety in January of 1993 at just 20 years old. Prior to being hired by the County, he worked for K Country Radio as a DJ & Eastern Shore 911 center as a dispatcher. He spent his last 31 years climbing the ranks to Battalion in his tenure. He gained his EMT-Basic in 1990, Shock Trauma (now recognized as Advanced) in 1992, Cardiac Tech in 1994, and lastly his Paramedic in 2001. Lewis recalls attending one of the Eastern Shore's first Fire Academies when it was instructed by the Accomack Northampton Fireman's Association. In July of 1999, he was promoted to Captain and later promoted to Battalion in August of 2008. When asked how he plans on spending his newly found free time, he replied " I have a few things lined up, I still have my fire extinguisher business, and I plan to travel and have a few good drinks".

HAPPY RETIREMENT CHIEF LEWIS & THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE
