The Eastern Shore Regional Fire Training Committee constructed a memorial to honor the fallen fire, rescue and EMS service providers of the Eastern Shore of Virginia.  A subcommittee appointed by both the Accomack and Northampton Fire Commission worked to develop the site plan, policies, procedures and a conceptual drawing of the memorial. 

The Line of Duty Death (LODD) Memorial is located adjacent to the classroom building at the Eastern Shore Regional Fire Training Center located on Beacon Road in Melfa.
