Accomack County registered voters will be able to come to the Office of Voter Registration and Elections at 24387 Joynes Neck Rd. in Accomac, VA beginning 45 days before the election and ending the Saturday before Election Day to vote in person.
THE FOLLOWING IS HOW YOU WILL VOTE EARLY:
- Starting 45 days before Election Day, visit the registrar’s office at 24387 Joynes Neck Rd. in Accomac, VA to vote early. Remember, the Saturday before Election Day is the last day to vote early.
- You do not have to have a reason or fill out an application to vote early.
- At the registrar’s office, you must provide your name and address and show an acceptable form of ID or sign an ID Confirmation Statement. To view a complete list of acceptable ID , please visit our Voting In-Person page. If acceptable identification is not provided, you must sign an ID Confirmation Statement or a provisional ballot will be offered and you are allowed until the Friday at noon following the election to provide a copy of acceptable identification to the electoral board or sign an ID Confirmation Statement.
Provisional voters receive a notice to remind them of the deadline and right to attend the electoral board meeting. - Curbside voting is available upon request.
Applying to Vote Absentee By Mail
- Apply online to vote by mail or call the office and an Absentee Ballot Application will be mailed to you.
- After applying using the citizen portal, you can check to see if your absentee application was received, and whether your ballot was processed or has any issues that you need to resolve.

Ballot Drop Box
- Accomack County also offers an official ballot drop box as an option for returning a completed mail-in or absentee ballot.
- It is located outside in the parking lot of the Voter Registration Office, at 24387 Joynes Neck Road, Accomac, Va. and is under 24 hour surveillance.
- Beginning the 45 day early voting period, voters can deposit their voted absentee ballots in the drop box 24 hours a day, seven days a week until 7 pm Election Day
- On Election Day, all precinct polling places will serve as ballot drop off locations during the hours of voting.
